What do SEG and Huaqiang Electronic World actually stock?

Huaqiangbei is a genuinely different city from the fair, not a district you can casually add to a Pazhou day — worth planning as its own trip rather than an afternoon detour.

The two flagship buildings

Huaqiangbei is a dense cluster of multi-storey electronics trading buildings, built up since the late 1980s around component and finished-electronics trading. SEG Electronics Market is one of China’s original electronic-components markets; Huaqiang Electronic World covers components alongside finished computers, digital devices, and security equipment. The two overlap somewhat but aren’t identical — worth checking both if your first stop doesn’t have what you need.

This is a different city — plan accordingly

Shenzhen is roughly 130 km from the Canton Fair complex. A high-speed train connects Guangzhou South railway station to Shenzhen’s Futian station in well under an hour, with a metro station for Huaqiangbei right at the Futian end — but between the transfer to Guangzhou South and the trip itself, this is a half-day-plus round trip at minimum, not a side visit.

What you’ll find versus what you won’t

Finished electronics and components off the shelf, often in cash, in quantities from a single unit upward, negotiated on the spot. What you won’t find easily: a manufacturing relationship — your own branding on the casing, custom firmware, or export certification arranged as part of the deal, which is what the fair’s electronics section is built around instead.
